“I feel like my whole life I’ve always been involved with some sort of fitness. Starting sports at a young age really helped me create a passion for staying healthy. I always told myself growing up that one day I would follow in my mom’s footsteps and work in the fitness industry. I’m finally working the job I’ve always dreamed of. There’s really no better place, with better people to surround yourself with. I can’t wait to see what the future has to offer to me here, and all the new members and clients I will get to meet! I look forward to helping you achieve your fitness goals!“

Jeff Messinger
Personal Trainer
Certified ISSA Master Trainer

For those of you who haven't met Jeff, he is a very popular personal trainer. He doesn't just preach it; he lives it! You can't help but be inspired around him.

Jeff started weight training in the gym in the mid-90s, becoming a personal trainer as soon as he was old enough. While Jeff has won several bodybuilding shows, he finds more fulfillment in helping others reach their goals. He has trained many clients to compete and win in bodybuilding, figure, and bikini competitions.

Jeff's real passion is working with everyday people who want to be healthier, look better, and/or tackle food issues. He focuses not just on the physical side of training but on the mental and emotional aspects of creating real, long-lasting success, health, and physical transformation.

Katie Cliffe
Personal Trainer
Certified Personal Trainer (ISSA), Bodybuilding Specialist and Nutritionist (ISSA)

Katie has always been an active person, starting at age 8 with jiujitsu. However, early on she’s had to deal with mental and emotional challenges which led her to lose momentum in the sport for a few years. In 2019 she started back up in the martial arts industry with kickboxing. From there she fell in love with the sport and made it her priority to fight, not just in the ring, but for the relationship with herself.

At age 17 she got into weight lifting. Weight training was a different challenge for her—but a good challenge. She learned to honour her body in a new way by understanding when to push herself harder and when to put her ego aside and turn it down a notch when her technique wasn’t quite there. She also adored the feeling of keeping up with the boys in her co-ed conditioning class (or making them keep up with her). But something more euphoric happened during that time. It came to her attention that she was inspiring other girls to be a strong version of themselves, and that she was capable of being a leader. From then on she only wishes to keep inspiring those around her and to give them a guiding hand in their journey.

“It’s not easy, and I wish it was. Especially in the beginning. Trust me, I’ve quit many times and I’ve kicked myself for it in the past. But keep showing up and trust in yourself! It takes time, so be patient and learn to enjoy the journey. But you don’t have to do it alone. I want to help you create a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. If anybody can do it you can do it too!”

Carla Ephgrave
Personal Trainer

Hi, I’m Carla, a proud mom and grandma, dental professional, Life Coach, Children’s Coach, Nutrition Specialist and Group & Personal Trainer. I graduated with flying colours from Fit Chicks Academy, Canfitpro & Think Yourself Academy.

My personal fitness journey has led me through all kinds of life milestones, including a major back surgery 4 years ago & 3 Bodybuilding competitions! I recently competed in the Van Isle Showdown and the Vancouver Open, placing 2nd in both! I am currently training for another show in Spring 2023 and have high hopes of getting my IFBB Pro Card.

By creating a modified weight training program along with special nutrition tweaks, I managed to work through my back injury until surgery and endured a rather quick recovery. The neurosurgeon proclaimed if it wasn’t for these feats and being persistent in maintaining my activity, I may have succumbed to a long and painful road from pre-surgery to rehabilitation.

I train physically and mentally, too, believing, living and breathing this simple yet profound statement that has been a lifelong motto of mine: MIND OVER MATTER. I know without a doubt, and I’m living proof that no matter what, if you put your mind to it, ANYTHING is POSSIBLE!

I work with and take pride in people who want a reinvigorated start on health, fitness…and life! Through my innovative, personalized fitness programs and holistic, wholesome meal plans, I’m here to guide you with an enthusiastic approach while making it feel as simple as brushing your teeth.

Without even meeting you, I know without a doubt you’ve got this! And remember, life isn’t about finding yourself; it’s about creating yourself!
